Hi! I recently got a new computer so I’d like to move a project of mine from the old computer to my new one. This is probably a stupid question but I don’t want to mess anything up so can this be done by just moving the whole project file from the UnrealProjects folder to that of my new computer with a flash drive? Or is this something more complicated? Thanks!
Hey EliasPa -
Assuming you don’t have any engine related console variables that you need to add or change in the new CPU installation, the project itself can be moved as you describe. All you really need to move the project is the *.uproject Files and the Config and Content Sub-directories. The Saved, Intermediate and other sub-directories will be regenerated by the new CPU but it should not cause a problem if they are copied over as well.
Thank You
