Movable lighter & candle flame

Hello, I am trying to make a movable flame that is hold by the character (interact with movement).
I tried making few particle systems without any success. Issues comes when velocity kicks in and the flame goes all wild across the screen. I already tried adjusting spawn units and lifetime.

Any suggestions?

I removed everything that I had since it was clearly not the right way to approach this situation.
I’m thinking about using a mesh instead of a particle system.

You have the particles set to local correct?
