Hello, my mouse (Razer Mamba Tournament Edition) sensitivity when looking around in the editor viewport and when panning in work areas like the material editor and blueprint editor are extremely high. I’ve cranked down the “mouse scroll camera speed” and “mouse sensitivity” in the editor preferences which alleviates the issue for the viewport, but there is no way to turn it down for the blueprint work-space except for turning down the mouses DPI every time I switch to a blueprint.
I don’t have issues in other 3D programs like Maya, and I’ve updated all of my mouse software/drivers. Using other mice produces the same issue, and I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling my mouse drivers. Does anyone know why UE4 is doing this? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks.
Hello, I have the same mouse (Razer Mamba TE) and have had the same issue.
Here’s how I solved it:
Make a new profile in Razer Synapse > Set DPI to 400
Go to Windows Mouse Properties > Pointer Options > Crank up the pointer speed all the way (fastest) and check "Enhance pointer precision"
You can try different DPI values and see what works best for you. Generally, high DPI will be super fast in the viewport even though it seems fine otherwise.
Basically: Low DPI value + Fast pointer speed in Windows mouse settings = Consistency in speed
Hope this helps!
P.S. For me it’s not just UE4, but also with games. I’d have to switch DPI between actually playing the game and the in-game menus (Skyrim, GTAV, Far Cry Primal).
