I’ve been trying to change the mapping for Unreal’s viewport controls so they’d work like Blender. I have a lot of hours in the blender viewport and im losing my mind with Unreal lol. I’d like to go back and forth with both programs so familiar controls/feel would be nice.
so can I have:
LMB only selects things btw Is there no need box select in unreal?
MMB is orbit/+shift pan
Also is auto-orbit around selection a thing?
Mouse functionality is most important to me. But if someone could give me a quick yes or no on these things that would be great. For some reason I can barely find any relevant information that wasnt written 5 years ago.
so:
Hit the move/rotation/scale key and then x,y,z to manipulate it immediately? +Double click the axis for movement on normals/+shift to constrain the object to 2 axis?
I know you can do all of this in Unreal, I would just much rather work through hotkeys. Clicking and dragging is soo slow and transform gizmos are sorta lame (unless you actually need the gizmos in Unreal?).
Im thinking im stuck remapping my actual mouse/doing it with AutoHotKeys. I hope im just an idiot and you can do what im talking about… Be sorta weird for a game engine not to be customizable to the different 3d software out there.
