Mouse Drift in Skeletal Mesh Editor on MacOS 15.0.1 and UE 5.4.4

When I’m editing the weights on a model in the skeletal mesh editor the mouse drifts away intensively while pressing the LMB to make changes. At first I thought this might be performance related (I’m on a MBP 13" M1) but lots of more taxing tasks work flawlessly.

I am assuming the engines mouse input is colliding with the mouse behaviour of the system. MacOS has mouse acceleration built in and it’s not adjustable. I still got a piece of software that enables me to disable the MacOS mouse acceleration but even with that active the drift is still present.

Here I’m clicking the LMB to make the desired change in the weights. The mouse drifts away although I am thoroughly trying to move the cursor:

Any tips what is causing this and how to solve this issue?
