Mouse down key event not effecting VR UI

Been at this for ages but using the press key node doesn’t seem to be affecting the VR UI

I know that the blueprint is getting the input from the controller, but when I try and run the press key event it does nothing

Any suggestions would be very helpful

Is this a button / dropdown that is actually reacting to tracing hover?
