MotoSynth and Audio Motor Sim plugins

Hi,

just noticed UE5 has a couple of plugins for playing vehicle engine sounds - “MotoSynth” and “Audio Motor Sim”… i can’t find information about any of these !

Does anybody know a tutorial or any information about the usage of any of these plugins ?

Cheers !

My man we need that ■■■■, did you find anything on this topic?

Hi, not really, i tried to migrate MotoSynth based assets from Epic’s City Sample Project to another project but i can’t get it working. Engine preview works in that City Sample but when i press it in the other project i hear nothing:

There’s no documentation, the only way imo is to further try playing with that City Sample project and try understand how it works !

Hi, if anyone else runs into this issue… For me the solution was to create a new Submix Asset and assign it to the Project Settings → Master Submix.

Hi guys, I experienced the same issue that the MotoSynth sound worked in the CitySample project but not in my own project. For me the solution was to create a custom Submix for the Master Submix and setting it up in the project settings.

A bit late to the party but hopefully this would be of help to some. Recently, a colleague of mine and I came across this issue and I believe we may have found a solution. It seems that the problem comes from the Submix not detecting the Motosynth as active and playing. To fix this, make sure that the Auto Disable option in the respective submix you are using is unticked and this should sort it out:

I did find this which provides some clues  FAudioMotorSimInputContext | Unreal Engine 5.5 Documentation | Epic Developer Community | Epic Developer Community
