motion matching is stuck on idle

Hello there I am new to motion matching but I followed the setup in this video https://youtu.be/LJi_vPAuTv4 and my pose gets stuck at idle movement with switches to another animations like zombie_transition 2 then It gets stuck in idle forever and animation looks laggy and stuck overall why is that

I suspect your animation blueprint is set to extract root motion from everything. If that’s the case, you can fix it by first making sure that Class Defaults is selected at the top of your ABP like this:

And then navigate to the Details window on the right side, type in “root motion mode” into the search bar, and set the property to Root Motion from Montages Only like this:

But this is not the case it’s already set to Root Motion from Montages Only here’s a debug trace

It looks like choosing the wrong poses I am using Mixamo skeleton and its animation pack

I also noticed that output velocity from character trajectory is always zero in all direction despite moving I am using the thirdperson character blueprint btw and tested it the same on AI characters same problem

Here is my animation settings:

Enable Root Motion: True

  • Force Root Lock True
