Motion Matching baking down animation to then add additional changes

Hello,

Been playing around with Motion Matching in Unreal 5.4 and its wonderful though for my purposes I want to be able to run a demo of a character running around with motion matching, then bake that down and make changes to the animation.

Currently I am using the take recorder to record a take and that works well, so that I can have everything running within a animation sequence though the core issue is that I can’t seem to then bake the animation down to a control rig. When I do try, it doesn’t seem to do anything. Is there a workflow in place for this yet or am looking in completely the wrong direction?
