It’s been a while since we last posted, but wanted to update those interested that we are getting back into our dev cycle and will be creating several new asset packs in the coming weeks/months. With that in mind we wanted to reach out and garner what specific types of animation those of you in the community are looking for. Therefore, we would appreciate any feedback you can provide regarding:
What new animations would you like to see on the marketplace?
Maybe some small environment interactions? Pressing a button, pulling a lever, opening a door, typing on a keyboard, picking up and dropping something, stuff like that.
Would also be interesting to see a “self interaction” pack, like eating, drinking, applying first-aid, patting out fire, shivering, etc.
Longer loops. 3-4 Cycles for ie. jog.
Start animations with longer cycles (ie, start and then 3-4 cycles of jogging), stop (the same 3-4 cycles of jog before stopping), animations for pivots (with the same cycle proportion before/after pivot).
These kind of animation will be really useful with motion wrapping/distance matching/pose matching as there is more data to match poses between swapping animations.
I’d like to have some full locomotion set with such animations (walking, jogging, running), pivots, turns, start/stops. Most people unfortunately cut their animations to be really short, which made sense in the past, but now it is hinderance.
Thank you Teecow for the suggestion. We are already planning for some interactable animations. Follow-up question, would you prefer to see these assets in set time/game genres (like a medieval interactions pack), or just a general interactions pack with a bunch of everything incorporated?
