More activity from Epic in the forums please :)

There are some things that only Epic staff can help with. Please can you assign more staff to helping on these forums and also have them stay active in the threads they post in until the thread closes.

I do feel like the Epic staff was more active in the forums in the past. It would be great if Epic took the time every so often to reassess their level of activity here so we can maintain constant dialogue.

It seems they have their hands full with engine development.
But I also noticed that forum activity from Epic staff has become more sparse since all the other projects like Fortnite, UT, Ark and Paragon start to take shape…
They communicate a lot through the announcement section, but give fewer tips in the specific sub forums as the used to.
Maybe it also has to do with staff fluctuation. There are some names long not read…

Thanks for talking to us about this, I totally understand what you mean. While I can’t directly assign people to stay in threads, I think I can encourage them to come out more often. Usually, developers respond to threads in the events section for livestreams they were on and they often hold conversations there about the topic of the video.

As KVogler said, there is also the factor of staff fluctuation, which can make it harder to find the time to come to the forums. It will be a temporary flux, since things really started to heat up because of new features coming in from Paragon development. It means we get a lot of new features in 4.11, but their time is spent elsewhere. I’ll talk with them and see what I can do about getting them back into the community more often.

AnswerHub has a ton of Epic activity… At first I moaned and complained about a lack of interaction and then I actually reviewed and wow, they do a pretty darn good job!
