Montage Time Stretch Curves

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if anyone has worked with Unreal’s Time Stretch Curves in Montages? I can see them being extremely useful for a game I’m working on, in that you can apply play rate changes via curves. It seems to be a relatively unknown thing that the engine can do and I’m struggling to find relevant documentation on it.

The weird thing I’m finding is that they can only be used when the rate scale is lower, which I’m currently not finding makes sense to me as it slows everything down. I know I could solve it by slowing down the base animation, and then reducing the rate scale in the montage, but it seems like an unusual fix. It may be that this is something you need to do often, as I’m quite new to some of the technical aspects of Montages etc.

Here’s a video of what I’m taking about:

If anyone knows anything about this feature, I would be greatly in your debt.

Cheers!
