Montage plays, but animation in montage doesnt

I’ve recently implemented blending 2 animations for my character so i could unequip/equip a weapon while running, and now the attack montage refuses to play it’s animations until the animations have been played manually by themselves.

UPDATE: I’ve realized that by playing that animation manually, it has stopped any other animations from playing, but that is not the point of this issue. The issue is that only the animations refuse to play in-game when playing a montage after the recent implementation that was mentioned at the start of this post, and that is what i want to fix.

For this type of setup, you need to create layered blend nodes so you can have upperbody montages playing while walking and running. You may want to take a look at Paragon characters, they come with Animation Blueprints optimized for your intended setup.
Countess is similar to your character, double yielded swords:

i have found the solution to this, i just had to use both groups I’ve set up and have two montage slots playing the same animation for two different anim slots.
