Modules built with different engine version

I’m trying to load worldscape with UE5 and it says modules are missing since it was built for 4.27. Worldscapecore, worldscapeeditor, worldscapefactory blah blah blah. It asks me if I want to rebuild them I say yes and it says it can’t be compiled and says to do it manually. I get this same error with any plugin from an older version, won’t let me rebuild any of them. What do I do? Thanks

You’ll have to wait until the developers release versions for 5.0. There are a lot of code changes under the hood so a lot of plug-ins need to have major surgery…

I’m certain you are correct but still, these plugins are advertized as working with 5 so I think something might be going on with my Visual studio perhaps. This is the case with oceanology, the voxel plugin and worldscape. They couldnt all have this same problem could they?

Oh, I see what you mean re Oceanology. It shouldn’t have to recompile them at all - it’s as if the launcher is downloading the 4.27 version instead of the 5.01…

Worldscape is still only showing 4.27 though.

What do I do to fix it? They all say they need to be recompiled

Have you installed the 5.01 version of Oceanology and you don’t have an older 4.27 version in your current projects plugin folder?

Regarding Worldscape - I’m pretty sure you’ll have to wait until 5.01 is released, but you could try editing the “worldscape.uplugin” and changing the engine version to 5.00 and try compiling…

I didn’t have the latest oceanology, I guess that would fix that. Am I just out of luck if they don’t have unreal 5 versions or is there a way I can make them work?

You could try contacting the author directly - perhaps they have a beta available to test…
