Scewdriver. =)
At 30 pieces right now, still a few more to go. Here is the toolbox. Iāll probably do different diffuse variants with distinctive decals (i.e. toolbox, medkit, etc.)
Here are a couple of shots demonstrating how the props pack content can be used with Engineer Hallways. More to come!
This set is really awesome. Good work!
Thanks @! =)
Fire extinguisher. Wall mount should be finished soon.
Polished some of the current pieces over the weekend. Added decal diffuse variants for the Fire Extinguisher Mount, Toolbox and Crate. I also provided dark diffuse bases for the Crate, both with/without decals in order to maintain edge detail rather than having it muted through UE4ās color changing.
Hey SE_JonF, if I can make a quick āfeatureā request, for the location signage, would it be possible to make the text as UMG widgets, with the actor being a blueprint, with text variables to pass onto the UMG widget? That way we shouldnāt need to export, edit, and reimport the signage to change the text.
Hey SaviorNT!
I havenāt had a chance to play with UMG widgets, but Iāll look into it. Worst case scenario Iāll just include a blank diffuse for you so that you wonāt have to reimport a different texture. =)
I can send you a quick mock up tutorial if you want. Super easy to do actually.
Sure, send me what you have.
Looks amazing, reminds me of Star Citizen.
Come on, you canāt tell me Star Citizen had no influence on this workā¦ ^^ā¦
Those doors are almost the same design lol! Iām gonna buy all your stuff, warning you.
Ever considered doing a āSci-fi Fantasyā package with all your stuff and a little extra price cut ?
I canāt really say that it has in all honesty. Any similarities are purely coincidental. Iāve often cited my main sources for inspiration are Mass Effect and Halo. For the Engineering themed packs, specifically Halo 5, The Expanse and COD: Infinite Warfare. =)
Do you have an example of the scifi-fantasy content youāre interested in? Generally it can range from Star Wars to Final Fantasy. Specifics examples would help me to better visualize what it is youāre looking for. =)
As for a price cut, I sell my products the lowest I can without underselling. I understand that to the buyer you may think Iām getting (i.e.) $60 from the sale, but sellers only receive 70% of that. After you take out the taxes youāre left with about half of what it sold for. For the amount of time and work it takes to create products of this quality, I need to be able to earn a minimum return that makes it worthwhile. Otherwise I wouldnāt be able to support continuous development anymore.
One of the ways Iād like to reward my loyal customers is a discount on repeat buyers. i.e. Buy one product, get 25% off the next one. But unfortunately Epic doesnāt have the systems in place to do something like this. I do participate in the event sales that Epic holds, at least when they invite me, which is another way to get some of the products discounted. Iām not sure when the next one will be though.
The Expanse is an amazing show, love it. What i meant is just a full package with all your assets in one product, nothing related to the fantasy theme.
Agreed, canāt wait for season 3.
I see what you mean now! I currently have a Gumroad bundle for the first 4 products Iāve done, which has a discount total price so you save if you buy it as a whole rather than individually. I plan to do the same thing with this Engineer theme once Iām done with that, but thatās a little while off. I have the Props pack that Iām working on, and 3 other architecture packs that I plan to do in order to make a fully comprehensive exterior/interior environment with this theme. Iāll likely bundle it, give a price discount & provide another bundle exclusive example environment that utilizes all the packs cohesively. But again, thatās a little while off. Probably looking at sometime in mid/late 2018 for that if all goes according to plan.
