I am creating some blueprints based on modular parts for houses and buildings. Are there any good workflows, documentation, for snapping and assembly etc? Feel like I am missing something about the process to make it more intuitive.
there is no documentation on that. you have to talk to guys experienced with level design and architecture. ask me on skype.

SOME TIPS.
Build you modular part’s to UE4 grid scale in your chosen 3d program, I use 3dsmax.
every part you export will place the pivot point at the centre of the grid, so I would make sure the pivot point on each mesh is on a corner and then move the mesh to 0,0,0 location on the grid before exporting. this will make snapping them together easier
