Modified shape plane into content browser

I’ve placed a grass material on a shape plane from the content browser. I’ve tried for 4 hours to get the modified plane into the browser to use with the foliage tool. It won’t because it’s already there as a shape plane. Is there a way to convert it to a normal static mesh. I’ve exported it as an fbx, but when reimported it’s invisible. Any way of getting this modified plane into the content browser?


Check the exported plane’s normals. It’s probably flipped, that’s why you think it’s invisible.

Could you tell me how I can do that?

The fbx is invisible in Blender too.

I have clue about Blender; I’m a Maya guy since the days it was Alias Maya, but I’m sure there must be a way to flip normals in Blender as well, check its tutorials.
