Modern Loft Apartment - Interactive Portfolio

Hi guys,

I am building an interior for my bachelor thesis at the university. It will be a concept for a new way of showcasing art, in a way: a modern portfolio. Utilizing the new media (UE4) and making it more immersive and interactive.
In this room, the viewer will be able to look at the work I have done. It’s mostly music and web design. A few 3D works here and there.
I would consider myself a beginner in the architecture game.
First a few pictures of how it looks now:

Here a few infos concerning the settings:
Lightmass:

Skylight:

Sunlight:

I know there are many issues, that’s why I’m posting this here. This is my first project of this type.
I am using UE 4.11 (the release from a few days ago).
I’ve set up light portals for the windows and my lighting quality is set to High. My Lightmaps are between 64 and 1024.
The city background is just a self-illuminated texture on a slightly bulged plane. And there is the normal SkySphere

Now to the content: I know it still look a bit empty. The room will be filled. There will be picture frames showing my works and some minimal furniture.
The piano will serve as a music hub, where the viewer will be able to listen to the music i created and the desk will serve as a contact hub, where the viewer will be able to get a link to my website, my email adress, and so forth.

Any comments and critics are welcome! I am here to learn, so thank you in advance for taking your time and looking at my stuff!

Your skyline out the window makes it so the building your in seems like its falling down. Might want to play with the alignment to make it more horizontal and parallel with the rest of the scene.

Other than that, looks nice, well done keep at it! Persistence is the key!

Thank you, DevilsD for your comment!

I’ve updated the light setting and deleted and redone the post processing. Now it looks a bit better for my taste.
I had to change and update a few things on the piano model, but now it justs makes problems with light building. The building process is not hindered, but the results look awful. Any idea where it could come from?

Lightmap Resolution overridden to 512.
Lighting Quality is set to medium right now, but I’v already had it on high and the results were the same.
LIghting consists of only a skylight with a completely white Cubemap, intesity set to 2 and a sunlight with intensity set to 2.

I would love some advice from you guys!
