Models, where would i start?

Hey, i’m a beginner in Games development and wondered what 3d modelling program would be best suited towards my needs, i’m hoping to learn how to pick up the skill set to model objects seen in the 3 pictures that are linked below, i’m mainly looking at creating interior objects like walls, floors, tables, chairs, doors, lamps and mainly just other household common objects. After doing some looking around i found out about Blender and wondered if you guys at the UE forums knew of any tutorial series, documents or websites to help me start out creating models of this quality, i know there are lots of tutorials on youtube but is there any specific to this quality?

Thanks!

Blender is free and it’s a very capable software. I would start with that. Realize though that something like 3ds Max or Maya are standard for the industry so if you eventually want to get a job then you’d need to know how to work with one of those programs. Most skills you would learn with Blender can transfer over, it’s mostly about learning the UI and finding out how the programs differ.

You can download AutoDesk products as a student (which we kind of are)

3 year licence, but obvious ways of working around this
