MOCAP Plask to UE5

Hi there,
Im trying to import an animation that I filmed with Plask.

I retargeted the animation to the UE mannequin with IK Rig and IK Retargeter.
Everything is working fine except for the animation. It seems way off position.

Am I doing something wrong during the Plask export, is it the import to UE5 ? or is there some parameters I am missing ?

Hi there! Im the CS Manager from Plask and Id like to reply your inquiry.
Right off the bat, as far as we tasted between Plask and UE weve noticed that its best if the retargeting is done in the UE system. This is because Plask is T-pose based and UE is A-pose based, however regardless of the retargeting was done, if done right this case is related to Character’s absolute position.

We recommend setting the character’s starting position at zero using animation layer on Plask. Please try this method and tell us if you have any problems.

The retargeting was done in UE. I will try your solution later this week.
Quick question, any plans for plask to allow animations starting off the ground ?
I tried to mocap a gymnastic movement on the high bar and the result is spooky haha…
