Here’s a short video clip showing off what the character facial animation will look like: (yes, that’s my face!)

Okay, so basically what we’re working on is a third person battle game. But not just ANY third person battle game.
All of the developers involved on this project will have their faces scanned with a PrimeSense 3d sensor and used as a character in the game.
We will be using Faceshift motion capture software for the facial animations, along with iClone for fully body mocap.
A little about me. My name is David Breen, I am 3d generalist/motion capture specialist. I’m 33 years old and been studying computer animation/game development for 20 years. I created video games when I was 12 years old using Klik&Play, would throw them on floppy disks and pass them around at school. It was really exciting having other people find glitches and report them back to me. I also ran a successful web-comic called “Movie Comics” back in 2001-2003.
In the early development stages on this project, we would prefer to work with local people in the Humboldt area or people close who can make it to regular development meetings. We have a lot of bright ideas and are very excited about this project.
Right now I am working on a pipeline document for all the developers to follow. (PDF & video tutorials) I have taught myself every aspect of development (recently getting my hands dirty with Blueprint) and we’re looking for trustworthy, awesome individuals who are willing to learn and be a part of something unique and exciting!
