So, I started a new project (3rd person) and selected Mobile, as I want this to be optimized for Mobile. As it is building and loading my project, i get a error that Mobile Starter Content is not found. I searched the marketplace and couldn’t find anything. How do I get this and download it for my mobile project?
You can add it from the content browser:
I tried that. No Mobile Starter Content comes up. I load the project thru the main area and select starter content but still get the error
What about
add android, then take a look in the browser?
( or verify, maybe a next step ).
Awesome. Thank you. it was under the Options menu. I am adding it now. Thank you.
EDIT: I think I found the answer. There is no mobile starter content yet like there was in UE4 from what I saw in the engine source code. The project templates should be updated by the UE devs so that they don’t let you configure something that doesn’t exist. Until then, you can do the rename trick seen below or not select the checkbox for starter content.
I guess some of the regular starter assets might be usable on mobile, but I am not sure. There’s probably a mismatch between assets made for PC and ones for the average smartphone. ///
This question seems to be about UE5. I didn’t find the mobile starter content, just the regular starter content. Does UE 5.0.1 actually come with mobile starter content or has it not been released yet? In another thread, someone suggested to copy StarterContent.upack to MobileStarterContent.upack in the FeaturePacks folder, but that doesn’t explain why it is missing.
