That happened to me when the mobile device had less than 512 MB of RAM (not storage but RAM)
What are the hardware specs of your device? It worked on a New device I got which has more than 1GB of RAM

I’ve been trying to test a mobile game, but as soons as I open it, shows the splash screen and crashes after a second. I have this issue on both iOS and Android, Development or Shipping. I’ve tried it on Windows and MacOS, with my game, the 2D side scroller, TPS template and the Tappy Chicken game, same result.
Can anyone help me?

Your game might still be requiring more RAM than the phone has if it is loading a lot of content. If you do a mobile preview in the editor I think there are profiling tools that tell you how much memory is used by the currentlt loaded level and the actors in it.
But then again it could be a lot of other things causing the problem.
I’ve just tested it with Tappy Chicken on UE 4.16.3, it launches and works fine on Android. I can’t depoly it on iOS, because it says mobile provision and certificate not found, even though both are valid. Using Automatic signing with xcode has no effect.
With 4.17.2 it crashes on startup just like with 4.20
Wish i knew. Thats the only way my black startup screen ever fixed was upgrading my device. Sounds like you might have a different problem.
