Is there anything in Maya’s log that shows an error?
Normally it should write the abc file when you enable the checkbox next to it in the Maya plugin’s UI, where you pick the abc file to write to.
Also please make sure that folder can be written to.
If all fails, you should be able to also manually save out the abc file. It basically just calls a command to save the abc in Maya.
