Mixamo Animation Retargeting

Ah ok, i think the term used in the editor for that action is “migrate”. Anyway, I don’t think other people of your team would need a copy of the plugin: after having “applied” it, the resulting asset can be used without any “run-time” dependency from our plugin. Maybe your issue is in the migration process: in your project “A”, you retargeted the Mixamo model “B” to the UE4 mannequin skeleton “C”; when you migrate “B” to another project “D”, if that project already has a UE4 mannequin “E”, I suspect the editor is unable to understand that “C” and “E” are the same skeleton. If true, animations using skeleton “E” could not be retargeted as skeleton “C” (used also by “B”) would be considered as a different skeleton.
