Mixamo Animation Glitch?

Hi, when I was making a game with unreal engine 4.8, I imported an animation from Mixamo(i selected FBX for Unreal), i created a blueprint and I was able to make this animation play when I click, the animation was an “Attack” or “Slash” and when i clicked the animation played but, instead of moving forward my character levitated and when the animation stopped playing he goes back to normal? why?

I will need to inspect this asset to determine what is causing this issue. Were you using an animation from Mixamo Animation Pack from the Marketplace? If so, which character? If not, please provide the character asset by sending it via Dropbox or as an attachment in a PM on our Forum page:

Sorry for responding so late, I didnt see the email, and It was a Custom animation. I forgot to add, I had to rotate the character as well, so that way it was facing the right way when I clicked, and thank you for the response.

I need the Mixamo asset or FBX file. Also there was no skeleton provided with the first set of UAssets you sent. Do you have the skeleton or do you intend to retarget to the default UE4 Skeleton?

When i Uploaded my character I set its skeleton to the third person skeleton so that way i only have to change to mesh of the third person, and just add an attack animation. Also i am unable to upload a zip file, it says " No Such Upload" when I go to upload it? and again sorry for the very late reply

Have you made any progress with this? I was able to import your FBX and retarget to the UE4 Mannequin so it could use all those animations. (They looked a little funny, just needed some tweaking.) He did not “levitate in the air” though.

But then you have to set up your Character Blueprint and AnimBlueprint to play the “Attack Animation” because the ASP character is not set up to play that animation. You could use the other Mixamo character’s for reference, however, because almost all of them have a similar attack.

Let me know how far along you are on this and how much progress you’ve made, if any.

have not made any progress, still bugging out, i tried re-downloading it, wasting a free mesh from mixamo but the same problem happens. Also, i had to rotate the animation for him to even be facing the right way when i click.

I am not able to reproduce the issue you are reporting in UE4.8. Here are some images showing the character imported, retargeted to the UE4 skeleton and able to perform both the attack animation normally and the UE4 Mannequin’s animations with some distortion in the arms.
