Missing System Requirements

Can’t install 4.11.0, getting “Missing System Requirements .Windows 7 Service Pack 1(SP1)(RQ-002)”, but I am using windows 10.

Solved this by unistalling unreal & vc++ redistrbutables, then re-installed unreal & vc++ redistrbutables.

I’ve converted your comment to the answer as this may help other users with this issue, however, we are still examining the cause of this in the bug report. I will post the findings here if we able to determine the underlying cause. Thanks for letting us know what you did to fix this in the mean time.

If you are running into this message on Windows 10, or any version of windows greater than Win7 SP1, then the most likely culprit is Windows compatibility mode. Windows has a compatibility mode setting that can make apps think they are running on an older version of Windows. Make sure you are not running the Epic Games Launcher with compatibility settings that point to an old version of windows.

To check the compatibility mode settings, do the following:

  1. Right click on your launcher shortcut and select properties.
  2. Navigate to the Compatibility tab
  3. Make sure to uncheck the Run this program in compatibility mode for option.
