Missing spline loft material after cooking? Aaaaaaargh!

Guys,

Another beginners question, why does my game work fine in the editor but when cooked, a material used for a spline loft actor disappears and the default one is used?

I’d really appreciate some help.

Additionally once the installers done it’s work what’s the recommended way for the end user to access and play the map, do they have to find the udk.exe and play from there?

Material can revert if is not cooked, either try a clean and full recook or copy both texture, material and material instance (if it uses one) to a new package or both. I assume it’s a material that comes with UDK.

Yes run UDK, do a search in either youtube or google you can find how to rename etc.

I’ve tried rebuilding and using a completely different material from the standard set available in the browser and it just won’t attach, any ideas?

Sorted! Was a package not saving correctly.
