'Missing plugin'

Hey there. I typically wouldn’t switch versions inbetween editing a project, but wanted to see the result of converting a 4.72 to 5.1 to check it’s stability (if it’s stable on 5.1, that would let me complete the project with some of the new features).

However, getting a ‘missing plugin’ error, even though the Static Mesh Editor plugin IS added to 5.1. Any ideas? Thank you in advance.

It’s integrated now. No longer a plugin.

@ClockworkOcean Roger that, thank you. Best way then to reconcile a past project? Just click past (ignore) the error/popup?

@ClockworkOcean I went ahead and tried, and the project did open okay. However there are a lot of goofy things that did in fact happen, so it doesn’t seem like a good idea to switch versions (at least for this project). The static mesh thing didn’t appear to be an issue however, so thank you very much!

Yes, if you’re jumping that far, a lot of tweaking might be needed.

I just read it again, you’re only going from 4.27 to 5. Should be ok.

In fact, a better ‘leap of faith’ would be 4.27 to 5.1.1. Engine 5.0 was still flaky…

@ClockworkOcean thanks a lot! I’ll tinker. Good to know it at least didn’t ‘break’.
