Hi there,
I’m trying to import a simple Sketchup file with custom materials, and render it in Twinmotion. IT asks me to link the missing files, which are all in a folder, and I link it to the proper folder, click Open, and it reopens the same window over and over again. Is there a setting or permission I need to enable to fix this?
Hello,
You can try to resolve this problem:
Check File Paths:
Ensure that all the texture files are in the correct folder and that there are no broken links. Sometimes, Twinmotion might not recognize the path if there are special characters or spaces in the folder names.
Permissions:
Make sure you have the necessary permissions to access the folder containing the textures. Right-click on the folder, go to Properties, and check the Security tab to ensure you have full control.
Update Software:
Ensure that both SketchUp and Twinmotion are updated to their latest versions. Sometimes, compatibility issues can cause problems like this.
Reimport the Model:
Try reimporting the model into Twinmotion. Before doing so, ensure that all materials are correctly applied in SketchUp and that the file paths are correct.
Twinmotion Preferences:
Go to Twinmotion’s Preferences and check the Quality settings. Sometimes, changing the quality settings can help resolve display issues with materials1.
Material Manager:
Use the Material Manager in Official Login Page Twinmotion to manually reassign the missing materials. This can help if the automatic linking process is failing
I hope this info helpful to you.
Hi there, I’ve tried all of these to no avail. I can’t even reassign materials to another image file; it just imports a blank image. I’ve also removed spaces and underscores from the file names and the same issue is occurring. Is there anything else you can suggest is the issue?
