Hello, I’m trying to learn how to use unreal engine 4, however, I can not start the program as it tells me I am missing api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll. I looked online and most said to install visual c++, and that wouldn’t work either, it would always get stuck on windows 7 MSU 64. How can I fix these things? Thank you.
Did you install the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual 2015 ?
Yes that’s the one I downloaded and during setup it just hung on Windows 7 MSU 64.
Just to make sure, you went to the link posted by @anonymous_user_16a2addb and downloaded the file named:
And tried to install it right? The other one (the x86 version) should not be used if you have 64-bit Windows, so make sure the file you ran was the x64 version.
If that all checks out, could you please provide us some more info on your setup? Specifically could you please post your DxDiag.txt file for us?
You can generate the file by clicking the start button, then typing dxdiag followed by the enter key, then in the window that pops up click on “Save all information” which will create the file, then attach it to your post here.
Yes I used the x64 version. Here is the DxDiag filelink text
