Missing DLL file

It would help if you mentioned which dll it is that you’re missing. That’s for Win 10, right?

Epic games launcher won’t install, says there is a missing DLL file. Asked Epic for help Wednesday. Is now Sunday and no contact beyond automatic ticket response. I would love to migrate from my laptop to a much more powerful desktop, but it requires I install the launcher. Any help would be greatly appreciated by anyone.

It doesn’t tell me which one only says that it’s missing a DLL. And yes, it’s Win 10.

It does yes - admin privileges I mean. I’ll give the install a go with this.

Correction, the Direct X installer said there was nothing to install, my machine has the latest version apparently.

That has helped. Finally got the launcher installed. Thank you so much for this! I can finally migrate my profile over. Thank you again.

Unknown dll, hmpf. How user unfriendly. :expressionless:

The first thing I’d try would be to get a fresh DirectX, ignoring the fact that win10 comes with one already:

Skip the recommendations in the prompt and get the web installer.
I’m assuming the account has Admin privileges.

Have a look here, perhaps it will help:

Awesome! Good luck.

We talking about missing dll file. Program can not started because dll file is missing on your computer. Download missing file Install this file your issue would be fixed
