Missing Compression Setting "Userinterface2D"

I am following this tutorial:

Around 4 minutes in, he adjusts compression settings for HDR images/textures. He uses “userinterface2D” but I just simply don’t have this setting.

Things I have tried:

-Google suggested disabling NVDIA/Discord Overlays as it might cause UI bugs.

-Different Image files (Same and different ones from the ones used in the video)

-Checking Paper2D plugin is ENABLED

Anyone able to help with why I am missing this setting?

Thank you.

I’m on 5.7 and have the same problem.

Hey @Insouciant12 ,

as of UE 5.7 the User Interface (RGBA8) compression setting has been renamed to Uncompressed (RGBA8).

The reason being that RGBA8 compression is not very efficient and may consume a lot of memory. it’s recommended to use BC7 Compressed (BC7) instead.
