missing areas (stripes) in reconstruction

Hi RC team,

I very often have missing areas in my reconstructions. Previously (2-3 years ago) it was sometimes, now it is almost in every reconstruction. Is there any reason for this? What is causing these artifacts? Is there any workaround?

Sometimes I have a part reconstruction error, sometimes no error…

I am doing reconstructions mixing imagery from drone (DJI Mavic Mini) and hybrid cam (Sigma DP0).

Regarding the missing parts please try some of this recommendations:

  1. Always use a reconstruction region.
  2. Change the RECONSTRUCTION REGION slightly, say +10-15 % bigger and rotate it by say 10-15 degrees.
  3. Set Minimal distance between two vertices (Reconstruction settings - Mesh calculation) to some value, e.g. 0.001
  4. Raise the number of Maximal vertex count per part (Reconstruction settings - Advanced) to higher value, e.g. 10M or 20M
