Mirror’s Edge | Kinectic Rush Challenge | TOP 100
This is the breakdown of my submission for the Kinetic Rush Challenge inspired by Mirror’s Edge!
Throughout this challenge, I established a Blender-to-Unreal workflow and conducted extensive R&D. The main character was rigged using Blender’s Gaming Tool Addon, allowing for an easy transfer to Unreal Engine. I developed a bullet system using Niagara and Blueprints and implemented birds using the Beefy Blackbirds asset. For the hair animation, I set up a pose morph in Blender and completed it by bringing it into Unreal Engine’s animation blueprint. To improve workflow efficiency, I created an Editor Utility Widget / Blueprint in Unreal Engine, significantly reducing production time.
Midway through the project, I decided to switch from a C4D-to-Unreal workflow to a Blender-to-Unreal workflow, enabling a more efficient pipeline.
I hope you enjoy watching!
