I find that while I’m creating new nodes with Metasounds quite often I drag off of a pin and promote it to a Graph Input. This allows me to play the metasound and make adjustments on the fly to hear how the different values sound. It’s great.
The issue I’m having is that after about an hour or so of playing around in Metasounds I always end up promoting tons of pins to Graph Inputs but later on decide to remove a bunch of the nodes and replace them with other nodes. This results in a huge list of unused inputs.
The feature I’d like to have is some kind of “Clear All Unused Inputs” button. My workflow right now to resolve this is slow and tedious and sometimes results in mistakes. I have to double click each input and see if the graph centers itself on the input or not to know if its being used. If the graph doesn’t move then I know its safe to delete.
This isn’t perfect because sometimes there’s two inputs being used that happen to be near each other so the graph doesn’t move and I think it’s an unused pin so I remove it. Perhaps an “are you sure?” prompt when you attempt to delete an input that is currently being used would also be useful here.
Thanks.
