Hi i am new to Unreal engine 4 and i have read multiple posts about different desktop specs and most people are using medium to high end graphics cards. My question is: Can a 1GB GPU run the unreal editor? My specs are below.
CPU: Intel® Core™ i5 4460 Processor
Motherboard: MSI B85M-E45 Motherboard
Graphics: ASUS GeForce GTX 750 OC 1GB
Memory: G.Skill Sniper F3-12800CL9D-8GBSR 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3
Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 1TB ST1000DM003
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 64bit OEM
Hey,
from the FAQ (Häufig gestellte Fragen - Unreal Engine):

What are Unreal Engine 4’s system requirements?
Here’s what we recommend to get started developing with UE4 right now.
Desktop PC or Mac
Windows 7 64-bit or Mac OS X 10.9.2 or later
Quad-core Intel or AMD processor, 2.5 GHz or faster
NVIDIA GeForce 470 GTX or AMD Radeon 6870 HD series card or higher
8 GB RAM

I hope it helped!
Sincerely
Sorry about the ** **. I feel a little dumb, because this should be a bold text…
UE4 can run on lower specs then that, but ofcorse slower
Hey again,
I guess your GPU can handle it, but I wouldn’t expect it to be smooth on 60 fps on max settings. Maybe when you tweak the setting a little bit you will get a smooth experience.
Sincerely
My question was: Can i run UE4 on a 1GB GPU? (GeForce GTX 750 1GB) .I understand the recommended requirements but just not sure about the choice of GPU. The reason i ask is because i want to get started on level design and wasn’t sure if my 1GB GPU will handle it. or if i need to upgrade to 2GB or 3GB GPU
Thanks all i needed to know.
So, before i write my last comment: i really don’t know what is going on with Answerhub. I can’t edit anything or reply to something. So sorry about that.
I want to add, that the recommended GTX 470 also has 1 GB. So your GPU shouldn’t be a problem.
