minimal vertex for assault rifle ?

i make rifle, but the vertex size are too many.

around 16 k verts. (i will use LOD however), the final part of design probably reach 21k verts.

is that too much for a rifle ?

That sounds fine for an FPS weapon

I once made a 3d assault riffle with 8 vertices.

we are talking about AAA games rifle.
