Minimal / recommended system requirements for own project (UE5)

Hello all,

when it comes to distribute an own game project (whether on steam, EOS or otherwise), how do you setup your minimal/recommended system requirements at all?

thanks in advance

Unreal Newb here, but I suggest looking at the Steam Hardware survey Steam Hardware & Software Survey and then also check out similar games that you want to make and look at their min specs. Seems like the best idea to get a baseline. Then build that machine and try get 30 or 60 fps or whatever your target is.

This all highly depends on your game and the requirements you have. Every game is built differently and you should test on a large range of hardware. You can purchase a testrun on a lab where they have a large range of hardware for you to test on.

If you don’t have the money or time for that, I suggest you measure the game with other friends and family computers.
