Migrated assets still point to original location

Hi, I’m very new to UE and don’t really know the terminology here. But I can’t find the answer to what I assume to be a simple process.

I tried to migrate content from the content browser to my project, but every element of the migrated content still links back to the original content location. I don’t want to edit the master content, how do I migrate the content without altering the master content?

EG: My migrated blueprint classes link back to the textures in the original location, also the Material instances also link back to the master Materials in the original location.

Please let me know if more information or projects, screenshots etc are required.

When you migrate something, it takes all references with it and recreates the path inside your project to look like it was originally, it’s not the same file that’s located in the other project.
