MetaSound - Loop doesn't play when come back to it

Hey there people,

I got a little problem with MetaSound looping in the game world.

I created a loop and a MetaSound of a waterfall. MetaSound is stereo, has a wave player and checked “loop”. That’s basically it.

When I placed that MS in editor and hit play it works. I can hear the sound, the looping right at the position.

But here is the problem:
When I move away and sound fades out and I come back to that point, the sound won’t play anymore. I tried and read a lot and I’m not sure where the error comes from.
Have anybody an idea?

Open your MetaSound and click on “Source” at the top left (next to Play and Stop). On the details panel, go under Voice Management and change the Virtualization Mode to “Play when Silent.”

Save the MetaSound and that should fix your problem!

Another way is to remove the interface “UE.Source.OneShot.” for your looping MetaSound.

This way it doesn’t use/occupy a sound source.
