Metasound Componant - Input trigger not working

I have an audio componant inside a BP that I set to different metasounds and trigger during gameplay as shown.

For some reason the sound will not trigger on the input trigger parameter when used like this - can anyone see why?

It works fine with the upper ‘spawn sound at location’ method so I know the input trigger works, however I ideally need the sound to stay within the BP componant.

Make sure your sound is playing before calling any Set Parameter functions on it—I think that might solve this. Add a Play node between Set Sound and Execute Trigger Parameter.
