(I understand this question may have been asked a lot of times, but a simple Google search didn’t reveal this for me)
Hi everybody, so, let’s say I am planning to use a MetaHuman model in Unreal Engine, but as I heard, MetaHuman models are too high-poly, and also, let’s say, I want to edit them a bit in Blender. Like, (I’m not sure if it’s possible to do it in MetaHuman, but either way, can I do it in Blender?) say, a model will not have a leg, for example, which I am planning to edit in Blender. Can I do it, or once I create the model in MH, I have to export it directly into Unreal Engine and use it as is? But what if I want to make the model more like low-poly? Like, say, under 750 polys? I mean… this is just for example, and of course, it’s more preferable to have at least 7,500 polys, but… just for example. Basically, the question is, can I edit the MetaHuman model outside of Unreal Engine, with the only intent to use it in Unreal Engine? Like, you can export it into Maya, so why not in Blender? (And also, what can you do in Maya with the model? Can you do any edits, such as remeshing the model , say, to have a lot less polygons, or, say, adding fangs to turn into a vampire, or… what?)
Ideally, I’d say, I expect a good, descriptive answer, but a short answer (preferably with links) will do as well. Thanks to those who answer.
