Hello,
When I add MetaHuman blueprint to Level Sequence track, I expected it switched to Animation mode and show rigs. But actually it stays on Selection Mode and don’t see rigs even after I switched to Animation mode manually.
Please tell me what’s wrong or how to get expected behavior.
Details:
- I use new MetaHuman which Metahuman Creator works in Unreal Editor.
- UE 5.7.3
- The problem occurs only on a specific project. It works other project.
- Metahuman Animator, MetaHuman Core Tech, MetaHuman Creator, and MetaHuman SDK plugins are enabled.

Solved.
Cause: Animation Rig setting in MetaHuman’s body skeletal mesh was missing.
Solution: I opened SKM_*_BodyMesh and set “/Content/MetaHumans/Common/Common/MetaHuman_ControlRig” to Animation Rig.
Actually it wasn’t solved. It shows rig gizmo but the character’s pose won’t change if I move them.
It seems solved.
Cause: Animation Rig setting in MetaHuman’s body/face skeletal mesh was missing.
Solution: I opened SKM_*_BodyMesh/SKM_*_BodyMesh, set MetaHuman_ControlRig/Face_ControlBoard_CtrlRig to “Default Animation Rig” settings.

There are same-name assets in the project. Only one of them worked.
