Metahuman mocap - IK problem

Hi everyone,
I am trying to use a Metahuman with my vive tracker mocap solution and I am stuck at one strange problem. The data flows in correctly, but there is some kind of IK override over them on the arms and on the spine of the Metahuman.

The setup is quite simple. I have an Animation blueprint with Manus Polygon component with bone mapping information.

Adding bone rotation on the hand does not work, I think it might suggest that the IK solving is happening over (after) my Animation Blueprint.

Any suggestions, where could this be happening? I feel like I have tried everything, but I am clearly missing something.

Try using the Transform bone as a “Add to existing”, it should work as expected.
I remember trying Polygon and it was working fine, but I haven’t tested Metahuman so I can’t really tell if something is messed up…try to use the good old mannequin and see if the issue is also there, it might be that Polygon itself is the issue.
Regarding the IK override, the only thing that happens after the AnimBP for Metahuman characters is the PostProcess AnimBP, but there only the corrective joints are triggered accordingly to the limbs movement, so there’s nothing related to IK.

Hi, thank you for your response. You pushed me towards the right solution. It was actually a problem in Polygon Bone mapping tree. I mapped the bones up to the hand bone and skipped mapping fingers (because I dont use gloves) and that resulted in weird IK-like behavior on the whole arm chain. Once I finished mapping fingers, it started working properly!

I have the same setup as you (8 body trackers with Vive Base Stations) + Manus Polygon, and I am having the same issue you had with the metahumans, where the spine, arms, and hands are all messed up. I am also not using the gloves. Is there any way you could take a screenshot of your bone mapping that made it work correctly?

I also would love to get the Polygon mapping working on the SK_Skeleton of the Mannequins, any chance you could help me get that set up?

I’m curious if you may be able to walk me through setting up the UE5 mannequins to do the same live motion capture with Manus Polygon? I’m aiming to record mocap data for others. but Manus only put out a tutorial for Metahumans with the gloves, so it’s a bit confusing how to import and use the mannequins, thanks!
