Hi. New to UE… I want to add some armor to MetaHuman. Both modeling and animation will be done in Maya. I’ve managed to export MH to Maya. In Maya I have created a mock armor to see if it will work. So I skinned the armor using MH joints and base mesh. I have exported skinned armor and joints (“body_joints”) as fbx and then imported to UE. While importing I ticked “metahuman_rig” (animation rig). I added the armor (skeletal mesh) to MH blueprint under. Now, when I go to sequencer rigs are working (I have 2 separate for default body and the armor) but I was hoping that armor will be skinned to the body, so whenever I manipulate the MH body, the armor will follow.
I don’t even know if what I say makes sense. Basically, I want to add armor to MH body in Maya. How can I do it? if it is too long to explain please send me a link with a suitable tutorial as I failed to find one. Thank you guys.
