MetaHuman Identity Kit - Can’t Find it Anywhere

I’m following the Metahuman from Mesh workflow from the Epic Games documents and various tutorials. I’m in UE 5.5.4, but I can’t get the Metahuman Identity Kit to show up.

•	Metahuman Plugin & SDK are enabled.
•	Using Third-Person Template (as recommended).
•	Checked Window > Miscellaneous, but no Identity option.
•	Using UE 5.5.4 as suggested for Metahuman tools.

I also tried 5.1.1 and can’t see it there. I see metahuman animation tab in 5.5.4 with data capture options for mesh and footage but no identity kit options like mentioned in the article and every video.

Since I can’t access Identity, I’m stuck on integrating my Polycam face scan. Any fixes? Thanks so much! Context: I am creating a custom character from a polycam face scan, tuned up in blender, and imported into unreal. I just started working in 3D softwares recently and any other thoughts or advice are appreciated. I am primarily a music artist working on creating a digital world for my music and characters.

Can you link to the video you’re following?

Use this tutorial. I tried it out before and it took maybe 5 minutes.

So that tutorial uses the same “Identity Kit” as the other tutorials - and that’s the part i can’t find anywhere.

Like i mentioned,

  • I’m on Unreal 5.5.4
  • I have enabled the following plugin: Metahuman V 5.5.1, Metahuman SDK 1.0
  • I have attached a screenshot showing my metahuman options - no identity kit.

Perhaps i need to get a different version of the metahuman plugin? I did already try Unreal 5.5.1 instead as well and it didn’t work there either.

Thanks again so much for the help!

I don’t know. I just followed that guide step by step and didn’t run into any issues. I don’t remember an Identity kit. Where did they say you should get the Identity Kit? Do you have Show Engine content turned on in your content browser?
