MetaHuman Creator not appearing / can’t launch – beginner confused

Hi everyone,

I’m a complete beginner and I’m really stuck. I want to create a realistic MetaHuman, but I can’t find a way to launch MetaHuman Creator, even though I believe I’ve installed everything correctly.

Here is everything I’ve done so far, step by step:

  1. Installed Unreal Engine 5.7.1 via the Epic Games Launcher (Windows laptop).

  2. In Epic Games Launcher → Unreal Engine → Library:

    • Opened Installation Options for UE 5.7.1
    • Enabled and applied:
      :check_mark: Core Components
      :check_mark: Templates and Feature Packs
      :check_mark: Engine Source
      :check_mark: MetaHuman Creator Core Data (6 GB)
    • Clicked Apply and waited for the download to finish (confirmed via Downloads screen).

  3. Launched Unreal Engine 5.7.1 successfully and opened a project.

  4. In Unreal Editor → Edit → Plugins:

    • Enabled:
      :check_mark: MetaHuman Creator (Beta)
      :check_mark: MetaHuman Core Tech
      :check_mark: MetaHuman SDK
      :check_mark: MetaHuman Animator (and related plugins)
    • Restarted Unreal Editor when prompted.

  5. After restart:

    • Went to Window → MetaHuman → MetaHuman Manager
    • MetaHuman Manager opens, but it only shows packaging/verification info.
    • There is no “Creator” UI and no way to create a MetaHuman there.

  6. I checked:

    • Window menu (no MetaHuman Creator option)
    • Content Drawer (no obvious MetaHuman Creator entry)
    • Place Actors (nothing related to MetaHuman Creator)

  7. I also logged into:

    • Epic Games Launcher (confirmed logged in)
    • MetaHuman website in the browser (confirmed logged in)

  8. On the MetaHuman website, I only see documentation and download pages.
    I don’t see a “Launch MetaHuman Creator” button anywhere.

My confusion:

  • Where is MetaHuman Creator actually launched from?
  • Is it supposed to open in a browser or inside Unreal?
  • If it’s browser-based, where is the launch link?
  • If it’s inside Unreal, what menu/path opens it?
  • Is MetaHuman Manager the wrong tool for creation?

I feel like I’ve followed all the steps but still can’t access the actual Creator interface.

I’m using a Windows laptop and accessing the forums from my phone.
A very simple, beginner-friendly explanation would be hugely appreciated.
