Metahuman components follow leader pose component everywhere except while character is possessed

Please help! I’m trying to replace the first person template character mesh with a metahuman… I’ve got everything set up fine as far as I can tell. All of the components parented to the third and first person meshes, as well as the leader pose component being set in construction script (I also tried an animBP that copies pose from source mesh, same result). Second clip shows the retargeted FP animBP with a duplicate control rig for the metahuman mesh. The arms stay with the torso just fine in the viewport and even if I eject from the character (F8), but they don’t when possessing the character! Super strange, and if anyone has some idea how to fix this it’d be hugely appreciated!
