Metahuman Animation Solver Crashes my 6650 on open

I’ve been trying to connect livelink between my ipad and windows pc and have been fairly successful up to this… the second i double click a metahuman animation solver it gives me the d3d error of death and gives up. in order to remedy this i tried:

changing my tdr values in the registry
checking my gpu drivers
checking my mobo drivers
checking my windows update status
digging into the logs and trying to parse that mess
optimizing my project
running in unlit mode
running in wireframe mode
running with task manager open to make sure i wasn’t running out of memory or otherwise redlining resources

now, i am sure someone with more skill than myself could crack this nut, but i’m starting to feel like my best solution is going to be to buy an nvidia card i can’t afford. since i can’t afford it, anyone have any ideas on anything else to try?
